Background:
Dr. Kin Cheung (George) Lee is a California licensed psychologist (PSY28022), board recognized clinical supervisor, and registered clinical psychologist of Hong Kong Associations of Doctor in Clinical Psychology. Clinically, he is a fellow member of the Asian Academy of Family Therapy, certified therapist in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and certified therapist in Managing and Adapting Practice. In the past 15 years, he has provided psychological services to individuals, couples, and families in various non-government agencies, community mental health centers, and schools in Hong Kong and the United States. He specializes in applying Buddhism into treatment for depression, anxiety, parent-child conflicts, marital problems, family issues, and other socioemotional disturbances.
As a lecturer at The Centre of Buddhist Studies, The University of Hong Kong as well as a founding member of the Master of Buddhist Counselling program, Dr, Lee is devoted to the training of Buddhist counseling professionals to serve the community. Dr. Lee has published in the areas of Buddhist mindfulness, application of Buddhism to psychotherapy, acculturation and family conflicts, and international student psychology. His current research focuses on the appropriation of Early Buddhist teachings into a theoretical orientation for mental health treatment, known as the Note, Know, Choose model.

美國加州執業臨床心理學家(PSY28022)丶美國心理委員會認可臨床督丶香港臨床心理學博士協會註冊臨床心理學家丶香港大學佛學研究中心講師。李博士完成美國心理學會認可的專業培訓和實習工作之後,在香港和美國多個非牟利機構和學校提供個人和家庭治療服務,專責處理抑鬱症、焦慮症丶夫妻關係、親子衝突、家庭問題以及各類情緒困擾。從事臨床服務和研究教學多年,擅長於融合佛學與心理治療,應用靜觀和內觀方法撫慰痛苦,培養內心的平靜。
臨床工作以外,李博士熱衷於佛學與心理學相關的研究項目,並且在專業期刊發表過多篇學術論文以及多次在國際性的研討會發表演說。教學方面,李博士曾任美國西來大學心理學系副主任兼助理教授,現任美國加州專業心理學院香港分校兼臨床心理學助理教授,多年來致力培訓新一代的心理治療師。在香港大學佛學研究中心,李博士除了教學和研究,亦是佛法輔導碩士課程 (Master of Buddhist Counselling Programme)創瓣人之一,希望藉此培養更多佛法心靈輔導的專才。另外,李博士是《溫暖人間》的專欄作家,多次接受過網台、電台、報章、雜誌、非牟利機構、學校及政府機構邀請分享專業佛學與心理學知識。
